The Wooden Duck was started in 1995 when Amy Ferber & Eric Gellerman began importing recycled Teak furniture from Indonesia. Over the years, we have gradually expanded our scope to include production in various countries throughout the world (India, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland), as well as offering local craftspeople working with reclaimed materials the space to show and sell their furniture.

In April of 1998 we opened a factory in San Francisco and began producing a line of furniture from recycled Douglas Fir . Today our 17,000 sq ft warehouse is filled to capacity with recycled wood furniture from around the world.

Our principal goal has always been to offer our customers high quality, simply styled furniture at the lowest prices possible while maintaining our commitment to the environment by using recycled materials whenever possible.
